  We cut wood till two o'clock then I went down town to get Ma's crutches stained    went to Sociable at Mr. Churchills in the evening

  James, Alice and Aunt Rube were here.  Went to church and Sunday School in the morning    at home in P. M.

   Left for Fond du Lac with Mrs. Long on the morning train  Staid at Mr. Whitams   Mrs. Long foot was very painful

   Left for home on the evening train and reached home about 9

   Went to church and Sunday School and to M. E. Church at night.   a fine day.

Monday, April 26, 1875
   Went to Fond du Lac with Eddie horse and buggy and reached there about noon.   Witnessed the Odd Fellows procession and Edwin took the cars for home at 6 o'clock

Tuesday, April 27, 1875
   Left FDL at 10 o'clock and reached Mr. Maudlin's at 2 o'clock P.M.  Mrs. Long very tired  Staid at Mr. Maudlin's all night.

Wednesday, April 28, 1875
   Drove to Green Lake A.M.  John sowing oats and working three teams.  Purchased 20 bushels of California wheat for seed of L. Burdick at $1.00 per bushel  Went home with Mrs. L. in the afteroon.

   Went down town in the morning   News of a terrible fire in Oshkosh ?  The whole city in ruins and four lives lost ?.  Loss $2,500,000    Went to the mail at night.

   Went to Ripon on horseback  arrived there about noon.  Dr. Callender pulld a tooth for me.  Took dinner at Uncle Axiom's  arrived home about 4 P.M.   Went to the mail

   Went to the farm   planted by popcorn in the afternoon.  went to the mail at night.

   At home all day   Pa and I cleaned out the cellar in the afternoon.  Went to the mail in the evening   a little rain at night

   Went to the farm  planted a few potatoes in the afternoon.  A fine shower in the afternoon.  Went down to the mail at night and got my new gun

   Went to the Farm   It rained steady all the afternoon and far into the evening   Did nothing in particular

   Father and I staid all night at the Farm came home in the morning   Went down town in P.M.  Rained considerable today

Thursday, June 3, 1875
   Frank, Jay and myself went hunting in the swamp, etc.   Result of hunt 4 squirrels, 2 pigeons and a rabbit.  Jay got 2 squirrels and a pigeon and rabbit.  Frank, a squirrel and I a squirrel and pigeon.

Friday, June 4, 1875
   Em, Eunice and myself went out to Mr. Roots in the morning   They went home at 2 o'clock but I staid   John and I went hunting in the P.M. got a snipe

Saturday, June 5, 1875
   Staid at Mr Roots till 3 o'clock   John came and brought me home  We shot a squirrel on the way.  Went to the mail at night.

   Did not go to Church but went to S. S.  Eunice and I went riding in the P.M.  It rained very hard just at night.

   At home in the forenoon.  went down to See the new steamer launched.  Uncle Axioms folks were here to tea.  rain in the P.M.

   We went to the Farm.  Plowed corn in the P.M.  Shot a pigeon in the morning  Grandma came home with us

   Jay and I went up to "Sherwood Forest" in A.M.  We looked over the "Library Books" also.  Went down town in the P.M. and to the mail in the evening

   Pa came over early in the morning and we cleaned up wheat all day   "Stumpy" helped us   a very pleasant day

   Hoed corn at the farm till 5 P.M.  Uncle Axiom came over to get Ma   they are going as far as his house tonight and will start for Fond du Lac in the morning   went to the mail

   Mrs. Brown, Eunice and myself went to Ripon in the morning.  arrived home about 2:30 P.M.  Went up and played ball a while   went to the mail at night

   We went hunting   Clarence shot 3 pigeons.  I shot one.  ed and Frank came down at night   we went to the mail.  Coldest day of the season Ther. 44* above zero   Pa and Ma started for Uncle John's this morn
