TO FR. LEO

               In your dark hour I prayed for you

               That God would reach a healing hand

               And bring you back to parish life,

               Meet every joy and each demand.

               But more than that I prayed that you

               Might live embracing all these three,

               And knowing deep within your soul

               God's Faith, His Hope and Charity.

               The Faith that He Who's in control

               Made earth below and Heaven above,

               His ways are hard to understand

               Yet feel His goodness and His love.

               The Hope that life, though short or long

               Will now and always bring to you

               Sweet rest in His abiding Love,

               Eternal peace your soul renew;

               And Charity, your love for us

               Reflecting God's great love for all.

               May He protect and guide your way

               As you respond to Jesus' call.
